Minett-Shields was a boat builder out of Canada. The Minett Boat Company started around 1911, their main talent lay in the construction and design and not business management for Minett, so in 1927 Mr. Shields came on board giving the name Minett-Shields. This company ran until 1948 when they closed the doors for good. This boat is one of the last 3 that were started and only 2 were finished by former employees after the company officially closed. This is the 3rd owner of this unique vessel and has several hand written pages to verify. Some of these were found at the Muskoka Marine Museum and will be attached below. This boat had a marine survey in 2014 which we have on file. It has a 1959 Chrysler Crown inline 6 cylinder. It also has (2) gas tanks with copper and auto fuel lines. In the photos below you can see where the Minett-Shields emblem was and beside it what it does look like. The survey states the boat is in average condition, with market value at $15,000 for the boat and at least $2,000 for the trailer. It is in need of restoration, but comes with a custom tandem trailer that has new tires and ready to bring her home to restore and cruise the open water.
