This boat has been pulled from the water at the end of each season and winterized and routine maintenance performed as needed.
2004 - 2010
* Purchased July 2004 from Minnesota (where it had came from a barn in Florida), the boat was named "Rite-Aid" and was ran on Lake Minnetonka before it was trailered.
* Lightly sanded and refinished all varnish, rechromed all fittings.
* Replaced original copper water lines with braided steel lines (retained the original copper lines)
* Steering wheel developed deep cracks. (refinished by "Bob the Steering Wheel Guy" out of New Jersey.
* Obtained copies of original owners manual and other related maintenance materials as well as copy of original sales invoice from Detroit CC dealer dated November, 1951.
* Maintained, trailered, and garaged during the winter.
2010 - 2017
* Used boat ~ 10x per summer on Lake Murray
2017 - present
* 2017 - Rebuilt engine at local engine rebuilder (Folks Machine, Norman OK). Engine block replaced due to cracks (new old stock obtained from vendor in Michigan). Replacement block had valve seats hardened so lead additive for gasoline is no longer needed. Engine is KLC with about 100 hours.
* Early 2019 had entire bottom replaced with 5200 (no soak - at Antique Boat Works in Cincinnati). 2 ribs replaced at that time also.
* 2019 installed fish finder and kept on a lift at Lake Thunderbird.
* July, 2020, had a tachometer rebuilt by Kocian instruments.
* Trailer had upgrades, spare tire, raised winch assembly, break away tongue, added bunks near keel, guide posts, u-bolts near rear to strap down.
* August, 2023 moved to a trailer and stored covered. June, 2025 flood caused boat to float downstream causing some damage that was repaired by Woodies Restorations.
Customer has several accessories in storage such as flag poles and swim ladders.
